|01||The sectionalizer is installed on MV distribution lines in conjunction with upstream protective devices such as reclosers and circuit breakers. And it is a kind of isolating device that is used to automatically isolate faulty sections from the system by sensing the operation of the protective devices located on the source side.|
|02||The sectionalizer, unlike the load break switch, has a built-in fast opening mechanism that allows the switch to open quickly within the instantaneous reclosing interval of reclosers.|
|03||When faults occur on the line, upstream protective devices operate according to the preset protective elements, the sectionalizer senses the operation of these protective devices, and the sectionalizer opens themselves to isolate faulty sections from the system when the number of operations of the protective devices reaches the set number of operations. As the sectionalizer operates in this way, the protective devices will reclose successfully, and power supply will resume without experiencing a permanent fault to the consumers on the source side of the sectionalizer.|
